Few things beat the warm glow we feel after finishing a hot drink on a cold evening, whether it’s something sweet, mulled, boozy or just a steaming cup of tea. Cinnamon spiced coffee
There’s no need for sickly-sweet syrups in this coffee, just a fresh blend of warming spices. For a more intense flavour, grind the spices with your coffee beans.
Spiced pear punch
This grown-up, winter spiced punch is a great option for non-drinkers or those on driving duty. Make up a batch the night before a party for a richer spice infusion that can be reheated just before guests arrive. If pear isn’t to your taste, try our spiced apple punch instead.
Liz’s marvellous mulled wine
What Christmas party would be complete without a piping hot vat of mulled wine? Cinnamon, clove and star anise fill our bodies with an antioxidant boost and our homes with a distinctly Christmassy aroma. It’s the most festive of tipples.

With anti-inflammatory turmeric and antiseptic honey, this is a great go-to when you feel the first niggle of a cold setting in. Enjoy a mug when you first wake up to feel rejuvenated and fresh for the day to come.

Turmeric lattes are surprisingly simple to make at home. This recipe is caffeine-free so can be enjoyed before bed to warm the cockles. Simply swap the honey for maple syrup to make a delicious vegan version.

This chilli hot chocolate uses melted dark chocolate as well as cocoa powder, to make a thick, indulgent treat. Instead of a fiery kick, the chilli brings a lovely deep warmth to keep you toasty from the inside out.
