Turmeric, lime and honey tea
- 8g fresh turmeric root, peeled and finely grated using a microplane
- 400ml hot filtered water (not boiling)
- Juice of 1/2 lime or lemon
- 1 tsp raw honey
Turmeric truly is a wonder spice – anti-inflammatory and rejuvenating – and what better way to soak up all the healing benefits than with the raw grated root? This cleansing and antioxidant-packed tea may well become your new brew of choice! Use powdered turmeric if you can’t find the fresh root. Be sure to wear food gloves or rubber gloves when grating the turmeric as it will stain your nails yellow!

- Put the turmeric into a mug, pour in the hot water and stir well, then squeeze in the lime or lemon juice and stir in the honey. Sip while warm – and do drink up all the bits of turmeric.
