Christmas cocktail recipe with spiced apple and Earl Grey

Ingredients
  • 200g granulated sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 Earl Grey teabag
  • 1 shot good quality gin
  • 1 shot cloudy apple juice
  • Ice
  • Apple slice, to serve
Method
  1. Make up a small batch of simple syrup in a small pan by mixing together 200ml water and the sugar and heating on a medium heat.
  2. Add in the cinammon stick and the Earl Grey teabag and stir continuously until the water and sugar turn to syrup (around 10 minutes).
  3. Take off the heat and let it cool down. Add the gin, cloudy apple juice and ice to a cocktail shaker, along with 2-4 tsp (depending how sweet you like it) of the Earl Grey simple syrup.
  4. Shake well and pour into the martini glass. Serve with the cinnamon stick and a slice of apple.
