About Bodysgallen Hall

Perched on Pydew Mountain and offering sweeping views towards Snowdonia, Bodysgallen Hall is a place where time stands still. A peaceful country estate surrounded by 220 acres of gardens and parkland, it’s home to woodland walks, beautifully restored historic buildings and one of North Wales’ most tranquil spa experiences.
Now managed by the National Trust as one of just three Historic House Hotels in the UK, this Grade I-listed, 17th-century estate brims with character. From elegant drawing rooms and inviting fireplaces to original period features that transport you to another era, it’s the perfect place to forget the rush of modern life.
A little indulgence
Raise a glass of bubbles as you settle into Bodysgallen Hall’s Welsh Afternoon Tea, a regal affair featuring finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones, ornate cakes, flaky pastries and a choice of aromatic teas. Served in the library, drawing room, or out on the sun terrace, it’s an invitation to slow down and truly relish the moment.
It’s no surprise that The Times named it one of the best afternoon teas in the country, with an impressive range of delicious delicacies prepared with precision and served with care. So sit back, smother another scone with cream and enjoy an afternoon that feels wonderfully unhurried.
Time to recharge

Indulge in the delights of Bodysgallen Spa for the duration of your stay. A haven of tranquillity located just a short walk from the main hotel, it offers guests a large indoor pool, spa bath, steam room, sauna, gymnasium and relaxation room. Got a new book to sink into? Head to the Spa Club Room or sun terrace for a reading spot with a drink.
Afterwards, let any remaining tension melt away with the ultimate tonic—a GAIA hot stone massage. This therapeutic full body and scalp treatment combines GAIA Skincare’s aromatic blends with the warmth of volcanic stones to deliver the ultimate reset. Inspired by the ancient Greek goddess known as Mother Nature, all GAIA Skincare products are naturally free of chemicals and synthetics.
Wake up well
After a restful night’s sleep in your superior double room, end the stay with an energising breakfast. Whether you opt for a generous continental selection of fresh fruit, juices, cereals and buttery pastries, or a traditional full Welsh breakfast prepared with locally sourced ingredients, it’s the perfect way to round off your escape. For seafood lovers, try the grilled Loch Fyne kippers or smoked salmon to start the day strong.
