Baharat-spiced kale crisps recipe

Kale crisps are a delicious alternative to potato chips. We love to add baharat spice to the recipe for a bit of a twist. This Middle Eastern mix typically consists of coriander, cloves, black peppercorns, cinnamon, cardamom, cumin, nutmeg and paprika.

If you’re not into spice, feel free to experiment with flavours. For a cheesy taste, add a tablespoon of nutritional yeast. Alternative, a sprinkle of salt and a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar (added once out of the oven) provide a healthy take on salt and vinegar crisps!

Along with making for a tasty snack, kale is something of a wellbeing hero. Containing high levels of vitamin A (in the form of beta-carotene) and vitamin C, kale is excellent for supporting our immune system. These essential vitamins help us to stay feeling healthy and keep the bugs at bay. They also keep the linings and connective tissues of the body healthy and strong.
