A fresh faced spring beauty look

We spoke to celebrity make-up artist Kerry September about how we can be inspired by the colours of this season’s beautiful blooms to create a fresh new spring look.

1. Face

Start with a freshly cleansed face and prime your skin with a light moisturiser, followed by your favourite foundation or base products. Keep coverage light to ensure a fresh, springtime look. We used Liz Earle Sheer Skin tint.

2. Eyebrows

Define your brows with a sharpened eyebrow pencil, use short, quick strokes that follow the natural arch of your brow. Set in place with an eyebrow gel, using upward strokes to help lift and define your face. We used Maybelline Master Sleek Gel in Deep Blonde.

3. Eyes

This season we are loving pastel hues in pinks, purples and peaches with an added touch of gold on the inside corner of your eyes to bring out the sparkle. Apply a shade that suits you across your top eyelid, then make your eyes pop by lining your lower eyelid with a nude pencil. We love Eye Cheat by Charlotte Tilbury. Finally, curl your lashes and add mascara to your top lashes only to keep the look fresh and modern.

4. Cheeks

Be bold and brave with bright orange ombres or peachy pinks. Use a high-quality brush to sweep across the highest parts of your cheek, highlighting your cheekbones. Layer and build the colour to your own taste.

5. Lips

Gently go around the edge of your lips with a neutral coloured lipliner to even your lip shape and then blend inwards to cover the rest of your lips. Kerry’s favourite is MAC’s Spice Lip Pencil. For a more natural look, apply your favourite lip balm on top. For a party-ready pout, use a sparkly lip liner over your Cupid’s bow.
